The closest example i can give you is an IG filter. But instead of it being useless, it’s amazing…
If you don’t have Adobe Lightroom, you really need to check it out. It’s available on both Mobile + Desktop. The knobs and sliders may look daunting at first, but you will get the hang of it. Taking a great Photograph is only half the work. The other half is making sure you’ve edited to your liking.
Presets as i mentioned earlier are like filters, they’re a great way for beginners to get creative and distinct pre-set looks (get it now?).
Take a look at some of the photographs on this page. Use the slider to see Before & After.
The most honest answer to this is, It takes your photographs to a whole new level! If you’ve ever wanted professional looking visuals this is your chance!
My Photography Preset Pack is a great way to kickstart your editing journey. It includes 13 Presets with a theme for Cities which have really stood out to me and have a natural and distinct look. These Presets are a great starting step, sometimes even a finished look, but as you learn more about editing, you will gain the confidence to make your own edits based off these presets to get the fine tuned detail you need for your picture.
Some Preset Bundles will try to offer you 50 or a 100 or even 200 Presets, but don’t be fooled by the quantity. The more presets you have the more confusing it becomes. Sorting through 200 presets to find the right look for your photograph is not a fun process. Most of those will even be very similar to one another and will include minor changes to qualify as a different preset.
My theory here is to start small, and learn how to edit along with it. This way you cultivate your own look for your photography. But until you’ve learned how to fish, These Presets will be your best guide. Play around with the sliders and pick different presets to change the look.
Hope you enjoy!
